Stagetec unveils new Aurus, Nexus software

Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup presented its latest version of software for the Aurus console and the Nexus digital routing system at IBC2006.

Version 2.6 adds features and functions, many of which were suggested by users. For example, a switching contact originally used for controlling PFL can now be used for accessing external devices. Another new feature allows those who don’t use dynamic automation to use the automation keys for signaling or other control purposes.

The company also introduced new software for the Nexus digital routing system. Among Matrix 5.2 control software’s new features are multichannel metering options. Forty-eight signals can be viewed at the same time rather than 24.

Clicking the meter of a microphone input opens a window where all relevant parameters of that input are displayed and can be modified. This new functionality is also available for output meters.
