Shure introduces new broadcast microphones

Shure has introduced two new models in its SM line of microphones for professional broadcast applications. The new SM27 and SM137 are both cardioid condenser microphones and targeted for high-end applications.

The SM27 features low self-noise and extended frequency response that picks up vocal nuances with clarity. The microphone has a three-position switchable low-frequency filter that helps reduce unwanted background noise or counteract proximity effect for consistent, extended low-end.

The SM137 probe microphone is designed with an ultra-thin diaphragm for a frequency response that combines a smooth high-end with a tight, controlled low-end and a -15dB pad for natural sound reproduction in both acoustic and high volume performance applications. It has low self-noise and preamplifier circuitry.

Both microphones will be available this spring.
