Shotoku offers lightweight camera heads at IBC

At IBC stand 11.728, Shotoku Broadcast Systems will introduce lightweight and robust pan and tilt heads to accommodate a wide range of applications designed for small, remote studios where space is at a premium. The company will also show a new multicamera, cue computer control system for robotic configurations, new additions to its Virtual Studio camera support product range, and an extended line of lightweight manual tripods.

The company’s new TG-27 pan and tilt head will make its world debut at IBC. The versatile unit offers a payload of 37.5lbs, making it ideal for applications where small unobtrusive cameras are required. The TG-27 can be mounted upright or inverted. As with all Shotoku pan and tilt heads, the TG-27 offers smooth and accurate performance at all speeds and shooting angles. The pan and tilt head is compatible with all Shotoku control systems including the new Orchestra Camera Management Systems.

Orchestra, the company’s cue computer control system, provides advanced capabilities for controlling large scale, multicamera configurations. The system software integrates seamlessly with the company’s control panels and adds support for intuitive user interfaces such as data tablets and live video touch screens. Orchestra provides support for external triggering systems with additional control features such as microphone interfaces.

Shotoku will extend its manual pedestal and tripod range with the launch of the SH range of lightweight DV and ENG camera support products. Constructed with high rigidity aluminum, the one, two and three stage tripods support payloads up to 55lbs.
