Interactive TV playout systems provider S&T will be premiering the latest version of their MHEG Presenter at this year’s IBC Show.
Presenter 2 extends the current capabilities for digital teletext and VoD support, allowing broadcasters to build MHEG applications with a next-generation approach, by removing the process of writing out MHEG code.
Presenter 2 now supports IP-connected CI+ modules and hybrid IP/broadcast receivers where content delivery is under the MHEG Interaction Channel specification. This channel was launched earlier in the year on UK Freesat and Freeview HD. S&T will be giving an MHEG Interaction Channel demonstration at IBC using Freesat receivers.
Other products on display at IBC will include the TSBroadcaster 2 data and object carousel playout server, RedKey 2 modular MHEG-5 middleware engine and TechniSat MHEG-5 interactive TV weather service application.
