Riedel Communications made the European debut of the Connect IP intercom-to-IP network interface at IBC2006.
Connect IP allows for matrix-to-matrix connections from matrix to control panels and distribution of audio lines over IP. The interface converts one AES3-stream and can be configured to individual bandwidth needs, providing a combination of audio quality and low-network traffic. Bandwidth is scalable, resulting in audio quality up to 20kHz at 230Kb/s, while standard 3.5kHz (85dB) needs 40Kb/s.
Connect IP supports remote user control key-panels to provide for connection of standard Artist 1000, 2000 or 3000 series control panels to an Artist matrix via an IP network with full functionality.
