RF Central unveiled the latest addition to the company’s 2 GHz receiver line at this week’s HD World event in New York.
The RFX-RMR-II works with both standard and high-definition signals, and provides composite output video. It is designed for fixed link, ENG and central receive site applications and can work with analog, digital and embedded audio.
“The RFX-RMR-II is representative of RF Central’s mission to provide today’s broadcasters with alternatives and sophisticated technology,” said Jeff Winemiller, RF Central’s CEO. “While the unit is fully qualified to be part of the BAS relocation project when shipped in its standard definition format, it has been designed to allow full flexibility so customers can upgrade to HD whenever they are ready.”
The receiver is constructed with an upgradeable COFDM decoder and demodulation modes include 16- and 64-QAM, as well as QPSK. While the initial model is targeted for 2 GHz applications, RF Central can also provide models for operation within other frequency bands upon request.
