Pathfire recently launched Browser DMG, a tool for reporters, editors and producers to access and manage Pathfire-delivered news content.
Browser DMG is an automated IP multicast tool that distributes content to more than 1,100 broadcast stations in the United States and Canada.
Users can create lists, preview stories and dub items to VTRS or transfer videos as files via DMG Server Connect for News to NLE systems, through a browser, according to Rick Young, Pathfire director of product management.
Young added that the Browser DMG is similar to the tool that reporters and editors are already using but with a Web-based interface. So users can access scripts and stories while working in the field.
