New Linear Acoustic Aeromax includes aacPlus technology
Linear Acoustic has introduced its Aeromax 5.1 monitoring transcoder, which accepts aacPlus-encoded bit streams and transcodes directly to a multichannel DTS output. Broadcasters adopting aacPlus have access to a worldwide install base of more than 50 million DTS-enabled systems.
The Aeromax-aacPlus Professional Encoder and Decoder uses the open-standard audio compression aacPlus from Coding Technologies. Coding Technologies' aacPlus audio codec is standardized across a variety of platforms as a compression format for digital audio, including DVB, MPEG, 3GPP and other international standards.
