N Systems unveils One Touch ENG control

N Systems (NSI) has introduced the NSI One Touch, a closed-loop system that lets stations control both ends of an electronic newsgathering (ENG) transmission link from the studio with an easy-to-use interface.

One Touch can be used to align both transmit and receive antennas as well as turning the ENG truck-based transmitter on and adjusting the LNA level to optimize the signal.

Typically, EvDO wireless communications are used to complete the loop from the station to an ENG vehicle. The extent of the remote control offered is sufficient to allow stations to send one-person ENG crews into the field, making more efficient use of personnel and reducing expense.
