The LA-5421 StreamStacker audio bitstream multiplexer and the LA-5124 StreamStacker de-multiplexer/AC-3 splicer will debut at the Linear Acoustics , booth this year. The pair provides multichannel audio distribution for broadcast, cable and satellite programming providers. The LA-5124 extracts up to four 5.1 channel AC-3-encoded programs from a single AES-format digital signal. Stacked AC-3 streams produced by the LA-5421 are compatible with all Dolby-certified AC-3 decoders.
Also on hand, the OctiMax 5.1 digital television multichannel, multiband dynamic audio processor; plus the upMAX 2251 5.1-channel surround-field synthesizer, which produces 5.1-channel audio from a standard 2-channel mix.
