KTech has introduced a 2-to-1 multiplexer for cable operators wishing to multiplex ASI streams for DTV must-carry.
The MUX-150E is a 19-inch 1RU multiplexer that features two DVB-ASI units and one DVB-ASI output. The unit takes in two DVB-ASI inputs of up to 19.394 Mbps and outputs one DVB-ASI stream of up to 38.784 Mbps. The unit also remaps PIDs, updates Transport Stream ID and performs channel ID update. The unit's update feature is controlled via RS232 or RJ45 terminal.
The unit will be available for shipping by December, 2002.
