IBIS to Launch New Workflow Tool for Sports at NAB2006

At NAB, IBIS Inc. will demonstrate "IBIS Highlighter," a new application with enhanced features and flexibility for sports broadcasts.

IBIS Highlighter is an intelligent broadcast tool designed to enable the fast turn around and management of sports events, studio-based programming and outside broadcasts. It can be used within an existing video server network and captures all associated metadata from the sporting event, studio transmission or OB and their highlights, retaining that data for use by third party systems.

The Highlighter screen layout can be configured for either single widescreen or dual standard displays with thumbnails. Six individual video windows show each incoming feed, providing a choice of viewing from multiple angles. Recording can be started manually, or events may be scheduled to automatically record within a 72-hour window.

Shortcut keys are available for every sport from rugby to baseball, ice hockey to basketball. An archive module is also available to provide a simple method for laying desired material off to tape, or transferring files over a network to an archive device.

IBIS will be in Booth SU183.
