Harman Professional supports AEG’s new O2 World Arena

With the new O2 World Arena that opened recently in Berlin, Anschutz Entertainment Group has set the bar for ultra-versatile, high-performing sports and entertainment facilities. With a business model based on standardized modern technologies to improve flexibility and lower costs while providing consumers with consistent, reliable sound, the facility settled on an integrated system from Harman Professional.

Design and integration was handled by AudioPro Heilbronn Elektro Akustik GmbH, which specified JBL loudspeakers, Crown Audio amplifiers, Soundcraft and Studer mixing consoles, AKG microphones, BSS Audio networking and dbx signal processing.

At the O2 World, the house audio system comprises more than 70 JBL VP7215 loudspeakers and 12 JBL AE6128 loudspeakers powered by six Crown Audio I-Tech 8000 amplifiers. At the core of the system is a Soundcraft Vi4 console with various JBL LSR4300 monitors and a BSS BLU 80 networked signal processor, with an AKG HUB4000Q microphone system on the front end. All are configured and controlled with the Harman HiQnet protocol, which automates and simplifies setup and programming. O2 World also boasts an impressive battery of AKG performance microphones and wireless systems.

In addition, the luxury suites, lounges and emergency paging system at O2 World all feature JBL loudspeakers powered by Crown amplifiers, with dbx ZonePRO processors.
