Gefen recently launched the ex-tend it HDMI-1000 HD that sends HD video up to 300 feet from the source to an HDTV monitor. Outfitted with HDMI connectors, the extension tool is compatible with HD DVDs, set-top boxes, TiVo and plasma displays that use the HDMI connection format.
LC fiber optic cables connect a sender unit at the source to a receiver at the display end. An external power supply feeds the system. The extender supports HD resolutions up to 1080p.
The HDMI-1000 HD can be tailored with customer extension cuts. Also Gefen supplies Extender Kits with pre-cut lengths of 60, 100, 150 and 300 feet.
