For-A Corp. of America will unveil the FA-9100 HD/SD, its newest FA Series model of super signal processors at NAB2007.
A more advanced version of the For-A FA-9000, the FA-9100 includes options for HDV/DV stream conversion, Dolby E encoder/decoder, redundant power supply, and HD/SD up/down and crossconversion. It also has optional crossconversion between 1080i and 720p HD formats as well as HD/SD up and downconversion. The FA-9100 also offers freely adjustable aspect ratio conversion and crossconversion between 1080i and 720p HD formats.
The company will also introduce expanded optional capabilities for its FRC-7000 HD frame rate converter. When the FRC-7000 debuted last year, it could convert between 1080/59.94i and 1080/50i, and between 720/59.94p and 720/50p frame rates in real time. At NAB2007, For-A will unveil new enhanced features including advanced scene cut detection and roll/crawl text detection.
For-A will also light up Vegas with its new 1-M/E HVS-600HS HD/SD switcher, which builds on the feature set of the portable, compact, HVS-500HS HD/SD switcher. The HVS-600HS integrates For-A's 3D DVE, which features polygonal-based effects to literally wrap video around 3D shapes.
Also on tap is the new HVS-38SSAM, adding video playback and expanded stillstore functions to the SD/HD-switchable, multibit-rate Hanabi HVS-3800HS. The HVS-38SSAM will be available as an option for the HVS-3800.
For-A will be in booth C4234.
