FFV to Demo HD Workflows

FFV will present its Superior Workflow Technology (SWiFT) concept of HD workflow at the NAB Show. FFV will demonstrate SWiFT using its Elite HD camera-mounted DVR and player, as well as its Omega HD DVR.

FFV Elite HD

FFV’s Elite HD harnesses the J2K compression codec for recording HD-SDI video signals and is designed to mount on the back of a camcorder. It accepts an incoming HD-SDI video signal with eight channels of embedded audio and records at data rates up to 100 Mbps with 4:2:2 sampling and 10-bit quantization at near-lossless compression.

FFV’s Omega HD DVR can record either SD or HD video with J2K compression and up to 100 Mbps. Using the Omega HD recorder, users can simultaneously record, play, and store multiple SD and HD video files and create video clips, loops, and playlists using the simple-touch front-panel or RS-422 controls. The Omega HD is fully compatible with EVS controllers.

FFV will also be showcasing the Mini DVR Pro at NAB, which is an ultra-compact standalone DVR with enhanced features. It has scalable motion-JPEG compression, 720x486 pixel image resolution, uses solid-state CompactFlash and is equipped with an onboard USB 2.0 port for downloading files. It measures 5.2- by-3.7-by-.8 inches and is powered by four AA batteries or low-voltage DC power input combined with low power drain for full portability.

Other FFV products at NAB include the NDT 200 compact portable DVR and eClips DVR for live broadcast production.

Fast Forward Video will be at Booth N2819.
