ENPS Introducing Mobile Suite for Newsrooms

The Associated Press will introduce the ENPS Mobile Suite to the European market at IBC2007. ENPS enables mobile interaction though the ENPS Mobile application, which runs on the Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC operating system, a Web browser version of the ENPS desktop, and the SNAPfeed Mobile Pocket PC version of AP’s store and forward video application for newsgathering operations.

The SNAPfeed Mobile system permits anyone with a camera-enabled mobile device to act as a videographer for breaking news. SNAPfeed Mobile Video can move from the field to on-air and online using the same MOS workflow already used by ENPS for broadcast video.

The neutral operating system of ENPS Web lets journalists access scripts, rundowns and assignment data anywhere an Internet connection is located. ENPS Web does not have the full capacity of a traditional ENPS desktop client, yet it retains the essential tools to cover breaking news remotely.

ENPS will be in Stand 7.430.
