Denon Professional ships DN-C620 broadcast CD player

Denon Professional is now shipping the new DN-C620 CD player. Housed in a compact 1RU enclosure, the DN-C620 offers great flexibility and is compatible with standard audio data file formats including CDDA, MPEG-1/2 Layer III (MP3) and broadcast WAVE (WAV), allowing audio playback from a CD, CD-R or CD-RW discs.

The DN-C620 features intuitive front-panel control and allows customizable program playlists and output of ID3 or CD-TEXT title, artist and album information via its RS-232C port. Additionally, standard 25-pin contact closure (GPIO) and nine-pin RS-232C control connections are included. The RS-232C remote capability allows the DN-C620 to be controlled from third-party systems.

Broadcasters will appreciate the comprehensive output scheme, which includes both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA left/right jacks plus AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital outputs. Additional features include adjustable autocue, +/-12 percent pitch control, frame-accurate search and trim control for the balanced outputs. A parallel interface is included for console connection.

Control options include an RS-232 nine-pin bidirectional control port and a GPIO 25-pin contact closure, along with an infrared handheld remote. Playback features include instant start, next track reserve, end monitor and user-definable skip back instant replay.
