Broadcast Pix Software Controls Sony Cameras
By TVTechnology published
New software developed by Broadcast Pix enables its systems to remotely control Sony cameras.
Broadcast Pix Studio is an integrated live video production system, comprised of a switcher, character generator, clip store, still store, logo generator, three DVEs and both digital and analog I/O. The new option allows an operator to control these features and up to seven Sony cameras. Tilt, pan, zoom and all camera functions are controlled remotely.
"A solo operator can do it on or an under $50,000 studio, complete with 3-chip cameras, digital switcher, clip stores and graphics," said Broadcast Pix President Ken Swanton.
Broadcast Pix systems already control Hitachi cameras and new software to control Sony VISCA protocol is now available.
