Archion is bringing its latest storage product for Avid Unity to NAB2007, the Synergy HD4, which the company says provides faster throughput than anything currently available for Unity.
The Synergy HD4 features a compatibility with Unity that extends the capacity and performance while sustaining the lifespan of Avid's legacy Unity systems. The new product doubles Archion's original Synergy HD abilities from 400 to 800 MBps with its dual 4 GB FC ports and has increased its capacity from 8 TB to 12 TB in the same 3 RU space.
The Synergy HD4 is certified with Avid Unity MediaNetwork Version 3.3 and higher. It has 1 GB video optimized Cache RAM, Ethernet management port, and a Web-based GUI. Proprietary Vdisk technology allows changes in storage capacity.
