Abilis Systems has begun shipping its AS-102, a 90nm CMOS single-die DVB-T mobile digital television receiver.
The AS-102 receiver integrates a multiband RF tuner with an advanced demodulator, memory and USB 2.0 interface onto a single die, with receiver performance as good as the MBRAI and Nordig2 specifications and power consumption of below 350mW, according to the company. Based on Abilis’s low-power Software-Defined-Radio (LP-SDR) technology, which uses adaptive receive algorithms to provide superior receive performance under all types of conditions, it enables the rapid design of small, low-cost mobile digital TV solutions for PCs, personal navigation devices, personal multimedia players and set-top boxes.
