AmberFin CTO Bruce Devlin to Lead Roundtable about Improving Workflows for Hollywood Studios at HPA Tech Retreat 2010

AmberFin today announced that CTO, Bruce Devlin, will lead a breakfast roundtable at the upcoming HPA Tech Retreat that will take place in Rancho Mirage next month. The session, titled “Multi-version workflows with MXF AS-02,” will take place on Friday, February 20. The topics that will be discussed during the session include AS-02 and AS-03 technologies and tools as well as the Interoperable Master Format (IMF) project.

Featuring top executives and researchers from Hollywood studios, broadcast networks, manufacturers, artists, the Hollywood Post Alliance’s 15th Annual HPA Technology Retreat will be held February 17-20 at The Westin at Mission Hills Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, California.

Devlin, who is responsible for leading strategy and vision at AmberFin, is a well-established industry expert. He holds several patents in the field of compression, has written international standards and contributed to books on MPEG and File Formats. He is co-author of the MXF File Format Specification and an active contributor to the work of SMPTE and the AMWA (Advanced Media Workflow Association). Devlin co-wrote ‘The MXF Book’, an industry standard guide to MXF.
