(click thumbnail)Jerry BergerQ. What kind of products or services does your company offer for broadcasters?

A. Automation products.

Q. What’s new that you will show at NAB2007 and that broadcasters should look for there?

A. Near Line Storage, control of network attached storage; dynamic real-time clip metadata updates with Traffic Systems; Digital Automation System.

Q. How is your new product offering different from what’s available on the market?

A. MicroFirst does not utilize any PCs to support our real-time automation processing, machine control or database management, but rather handles all of these activities on a specially designed embedded hardware platform (MPC 3200), running our own real-time OS (WinMOS). This environment removes us from all the vagaries associated with Windows and reduces the OS boot up/down time to a mere 10 seconds, and provides a robust environment against crashes and viruses.

Q. Where are you based, and how many employees do you have? Anything else we should know about your company?

A. MicroFirst is a New Jersey-based company that has been servicing the broadcast networks since 1992.
