Sister cable companies merge to form RapcoHorizon

Rapco International and Horizon Music have announced a merger to form RapcoHorizon. The former sister companies will debut as one at Winter NAMM 2007 in Anaheim, CA.

The new company is positioned as a leading manufacturer and supplier of audio, video, home theater and data telecommunications cable in both bulk wire and assemblies. The strategic merger also includes the integration of all corporate counterpart divisions: Major Custom Cable, which services the fiber-optic and data telecom industries; Horizon Wire & Cable, the company’s wire extrusion facility; N.A.F.T.A. Manufacturing, the company’s Mexican manufacturing plants; Rapco Professional, servicing the Canadian market; and Oculus Designs, servicing the home theater and custom home installation markets.

By aligning each specialty department, RapcoHorizon enhances service by combining resources and operations. Additionally, with its expanded shop and improved metal working capabilities, the company will be the premier supplier of custom metal interfacing products and snakes.
