Univision Installs Ensemble Avenue System
By TVTechnology published
Three Univision Communications Inc. stations have installed Ensemble Designs' Avenue Signal Integration System.
The Avenue System is in use at KMEX of Los Angeles, the largest Spanish-language television station in the United States, KTVW in Phoenix and WLTV in Miami.
The stations are using the Avenue System's remote control capabilities by employing the Tabletop TouchScreens and the Avenue PC Application control. These features allow stations to monitor, control, set alarms and user levels for all of the modules in the system from either the touchScreens or desktop PCs.
Avenue has a tray-based system that comes in 3 RU or 1 RU frames and is HD, SD and DVB-ASI compatible. Avenue provides a line of modules that include conversion, distribution, frame synchronization and other functions. The modules are hot-swappable, with a universal back plane.
