Television Advertising Bureau Chief to Exit
By TVTechnology published
NEW YORK: Chris Rohrs, president of the Television Bureau of Advertising, will leave the organization at the end of 2009. TVB Board President Frank Comerford made the announcement earlier this month.
Rohrs has led the bureau since January 2000. He came to TVB after a 20-year career with Post-Newsweek Stations.
A search committee has been formed to recruit a replacement.
Rohrs said that he plans to remain “fully engaged” at TVB through the remainder of his tenure.
“It’s been a great privilege to lead TVB…” he said. “I believe in television more than I ever have. It’s the only medium with the power to match up to the challenge that this brutal recession poses.”
