Telestream has signed a new software licensing agreement with Harris.
Harris will license Telestream FlipFactory transcoding automation software products and technology for their new Harris Resource Suite for broadcasters.
Harris Resource Suite extends Harris' master control automation solutions to include the entire ingest-to-broadcast workflow. Telestream products enhance the Harris offering by integrating seamless redistribution of media and metadata between a multitude of source and destination devices. This functionality coupled with Harris' integrated workflow process manager software eliminates labor-intensive, manual processes, saving broadcasters time and money.
Under terms of the agreement, Harris will offer Telestream FlipFactory functionality integrated into the Harris Resource Suite. FlipFactory provides automated transcoding and delivery of media and metadata, enabling seamless file transfer between leading broadcast servers, edit systems and other digital devices located at TV facilities.
The Harris Resource Suite with Telestream FlipFactory functionality will be available in October 2003.
