Swiss broadcaster TSI has installed a new production platform from Thomson at its Lugano facility in south Switzerland as part of its transition to HD.
The system includes the Grass Valley Aurora news production suite for ingest and playout and a 16-channel HD K2 media server.
Aurora is a suite of software modules that enables production facilities to build a complete workflow around a central networked server. The Grass Valley K2 media server is based on a client/server architecture that delivers file-based production and playout workflows that are simple to implement and operate.
