SureWest Communications has deployed the Big Band BMR (Broadband Multimedia Service Router) platform as a gateway to convert multimedia content to IP distribution, and Big Band Grooming on the BMR to control channel line-ups, video quality and bandwidth efficiency. The Big Band BMR incorporates IP video services within a networked, multi-service environment, offering flexibility in centralizing or distributing content sources and scalability in grooming video and audio feeds. SureWest subscribers will receive live video and music programs routed and processed on the Big Band BMR, alongside existing voice and data services.
