Shotoku to showcase pneumatic pedestal at IBC2006

At the upcoming IBC2006 conference in Amsterdam, Shotoku Broadcast Systems, a provider of camera support equipment, will introduce its newest manual and robotic products at stand 11.724. The company’s exhibit stand will include a pneumatic pedestal with a companion pan/tilt head, and a new aluminum tripod/head series on the manual side, and a new height unit as well as a pan/tilt head from the robotics side.

The new TP-90 pneumatic pedestal with its matching TE-23 pan/tilt head is designed to accommodate a wide range of camera configurations. The pedestal is based on the company's TP-80 pneumatic pedestal, which has been installed in hundreds of facilities worldwide. The compact three-stage unit has a column stroke reach of 94.5cm (37.2in). Located under the carriage, the TP-90’s cable guards can easily be adjusted by turning a knob located at the side of carriage. Safety features include a new column lock as well as a brake ring placed within reach of the cameraman while in operation.

The TP-90’s compact and lightweight TE-23 companion pan/tilt head has a payload of 60kg (132 lbs) and features the REULAUX perfect balance system for smooth operation.

AT IBC2006, Shotoku will also premiere the SH-100 lightweight aluminum head with a series of companion tripods. The SH-100 “perfect balance” ENG fluid head will be shown with the TDA100 two-stage, TSA100 single stage and TT-66 four-stage aluminum tripods.
