Scopus networking platform installed in India
By TVTechnology published
Scopus Video Networks, a provider of digital video networking products, announced that a large cable MSO in India has selected its broadcast platforms for several projects in connection with one of the first large-scale direct-to-home digital cable service deployments.
Though the company did not name the MSO that made the purchase, it said the projects had an aggregate value of more than $3 million.
Scopus said the Indian government had a new regulation that required cable MSOs in large metropolitan areas to transition to digital video delivery as part of the digitization of its TV system.
Scopus develops, markets and supports digital video networking products that enable network operators to offer advanced video services to their subscribers. Its products support digital television, HDTV, live event coverage and content distribution.
