Sachtler Corporation has bought OConnor Engineering, a camera support systems provider. OConnor will keep its product line with an emphasis on HD, film and other markets and it will remain distinct from Sachtler's line.
OConnor Engineering designed and built the world's first fluid damped counterbalanced camera head in 1949 and received an Oscar in 1993 for its contribution to the art of movie making.
