RTNDA & RTNDF Appoint Executive Directors

The Radio and Television News Directors (RTNDA) and the Radio and Television News Directors Foundation (RTNDF) have both appointed new executive directors.

Jane Nassiri was named to the position within the TTNDA and Kathleen Graham was selected for the RTNDF post. They will take office on June 25, 2009 when Barbara Cochran, who currently serves as president of both organizations, retires.

"We're very fortunate to have such experienced and able executives to direct the operations of the Association and the Foundation," said Ed Esposito, RTNDA chair and vice president of Rubber City Radio Group in Akron, Ohio. "Jane and Kathleen know every facet of both organizations and have interacted with hundreds of RTNDA members over the years. They understand the tremendous shifts we are seeing in the industry, as well as the mission and activities we need to undertake to transform RTNDA and RTNDF to meet the needs of journalists in the digital age."

Nassiri has been with the RTNDA since 1998, and has served as vice president of finance and administration since 2005. Graham joined the RTNDF in 1996 and was made vice president for foundation programs in 2005. While each will focus her activities on respective organizations, both are committed to jointly direct operations of the two entities.

Following her retirement, Cochran will serve as president emeritus of both organizations.
