Rorke Data, together with its sister company Bell Microproducts (both subsidiaries of San Jose-based Bell Microproducts, Inc.), announced a strategic partnership with Techex, Inc., a specialized international distributor of complete digital video systems solutions, and Fission Software, Inc., a software developer of Fission--a software automation solution for TV stations--to integrate Rorke's ImageSAN solution into eight Televisa TV stations located throughout Mexico.
Installations at the Televisa sites include Fission Software broadcast automation system for master control and content acquisition, Incite and Adobe Premiere solutions for each of the news editing and post-production workstations, and Inscriber E-clips and VMP Studio for live studio operations. To ensure each of the elements worked seamlessly and to ensure ready availability of the data from any authorized system within each TV station, Fission Software also installed Rorke Data's ImageSAN file sharing software for Windows, along with dual controller Rorke Galaxy 60 RAID systems, 2Gbit Fibre switches, HBA's and Metadata controller servers.

Each Televisa environment includes several Fission ingest stations (with the content received via satellite or other broadcast outlets), and multiple Fission management and playout stations to manage both the programming and commercial content. As a result, most of the stations are capable of running multiple channels from a single facility. Each Fission Software installation also includes several Incite and/or Adobe Premiere editing workstations which are seamlessly tied together by Rorke Data's storage area network solutions.
