Projection technology answers call for post screening applications and more, says Anders Løkke.

Post-production screening of movies and TV shows, whether in an HD, 2K or 4K format, demands attention to detail, especially when it comes to color fidelity.

All of the care and consideration put into creating a distinctive look and mood can easily be negated without consistency of color reproduction. Today, as electronic projection technology is commonly used in CGI creation, editing and screening applications throughout post, the need for a correct, consistent color setup has never been greater.

Norwegian-based DLP projector supplier projectiondesign will exhibit next month at the IBC conference and exhibition for the first time. The company, which supplies projection technology for a variety of markets, has had quite a bit of success lately supplying post-production houses with projection solutions.

In this podcast, Anders Løkke, international marketing manager at projectiondesign, discusses a variety of post-related projection issues, including proper calibration to ensure color fidelity, the growing popularity of 3-D movie production and its impact on post production screening, and where the projection market is headed.
