New robotic camera controllers from Shotoku at NAB

Shotoku Broadcast Systems will present two new control systems at NAB. Both systems can control up to 16 cameras and are designed for broadcast studio applications.

The TR-T system is the latest generation of touch control panel capable of controlling both Shotoku and third-party robotic cameras systems. A single operator can control up to 16 cameras. It uses multicolored illuminated keys to communicate system status and control settings.

The TR-S High Capacity Flexible Control Panel expands to support up to 16 camera channels and uses the same features and interface as the company’s standard TR-8S. However, it includes panel keys, bright LED illumination displays, and a high contrast LCD that indicates the current status of all cameras in the system.

The TRP-100 Robotic Studio Pedestal supports any payload up to 220lbs while gliding through 2.5ft of elevation at up to 1ft per second.

Controlled by the TR-T Control System, the TRP-100 pedestal allows full X, Y, and height camera movement in conjunction with conventional pan and tilt motion. The navigation system can be calibrated within seconds using a target-tile placed anywhere on the studio floor.
