In an interview with Reuters, David Zazlav, president of NBC Cable, noted, "We're considering a number of digital nets." At a conference produced by Digital Media Wire and New York University, reported that as many as five new digital channels were being considered, and mentioned the possibility of a channel such as a "crime channel" built around NBC's "Law and Order" franchise of programs, or a channel that broadcasts films from Universal's considerable archive.
