NAB Show: Sony to Show HD Viewfinder

Sony HDVF-C30WR viewfinder
Among its typical array of new or upgraded products it plans to unveil at NAB (April 20–23), Sony will also introduce an HD viewfinder (model HDVF-C30WR), which is interchangeable with several of the manufacturer's professional line of HD cameras and camcorders.
The viewfinder has a 2.7-inch LCD screen (measured diagonally), with a resolution level of 960x540, and a new image processor (the same one used in Sony's much larger BVM-L230 LCD monitor). Building HD-centric capabilities directly into the viewfinder produces more accurate framing and focusing operations, and provides more precise color reproduction with the help of enhanced focus-assist functionality.
Sony said the new viewfinder was created for use with other Sony camera systems across its entire product line. Some of the applicable cameras include: Sony's CineAlta F23/F35 digital cinema cameras; XDCAM HD422 optical camcorders; HDCAM camcorders; HDC series of multiformat studio and ENG cameras; and its Super Slow Motion camera (HDC-3300).
