A former Democratic Hill staffer joins NAB as director of government relations. Mike Mullen comes from the office of Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Pa., where he was senior legislative assistant since early 2004. His focus there was on legislation pertaining to the digital television transition and the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act. He was responsible for telecommunications, technology, consumer protection and health care issues before the House Commerce Committee.
Mullen also has worked for Democratic Rep. Jim Turner of Texas. During that six-year stint, he served as legislative assistant, and later, senior legislative assistant, focusing on telecommunications, technology, health care and trade.
