MPEG Group Master Class Slated at NAB Show

FREMONT, CALIF.: Two groups are pulling together a master class focused on all things DTV, from content creation and distribution to making money on it. The MPEG Industry Forum and the Open IPTV Forum will present the full-day master class, entitled “The New World of Digital Television,” on Sunday, April 19, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center Room S228. Discussions will range from lessons learned to future strategies. IPTV delivery standards will also be covered.

Four distinct sessions are scheduled: “The World in Transition,” “New Technologies for New Services,” “Revenue Generation versus Regulation in the New Digital World” and “The Standards Based Ecosystems.”

Event chairpersons include Sebastian Moeritz, president of MPEGIF and CEO of dicas; David Price, vice president of MPEGIF and of Harmonic; Monika Gadhammar, vice chair of the Open IPTV Forum Marketing Workgroup.
