Media 100 Launches Product Road Tour

Marlboro, MA--Media 100, a unit of Optibase, is kicking off a North American tour to showcase the newly launched Media 100 HD and recently released 844/X Version 3. The tour, dubbed "Media 100: Reloaded," will demonstrate the company's latest efforts in facilitating HD and SD editing/compositing workflows on Mac and PC platforms. The first presentation will be on September 30 in Vancouver, Canada and continues on to 12 other cities through December 2004.
Editorial and compositing artists will be on hand to demonstrate Media 100 HD, designed for editors and designers who straddle between SD and HD workflows. Media 100 HD provides 10-bit uncompressed HD and SD editing, 99 video tracks, bi-directional broadcast-quality format conversion, aspect ratio conversion, RGB/HSL/YUV color correction and supports a codec-independent timeline including compatibility with Media 100 i, 844/X, and Final Cut Pro formats. Also showcased at the events, 844/X Version 3 provides a familiar editing and compositing interface, 10-bit uncompressed SD, unlimited layers and realtime compositing, DVEs, color correction, 3D Gaussian blurs, and more. Roadshow guests will get a sneak peak at new technology currently in development for both systems.
