Lucille Luongo, immediate past president of the Library of American Broadcasting, has died at 58, reports Gordon Hastings, president of the organization. Luongo suffered from cancer.
Luongo was a past national president of the American Women in Radio and Television, a former senior vice president of corporate communications for Katz Media and director of the Broadcasters' Foundation. She began her career at Katz in 1978 and was with the company until 1997.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home of Mount Kisco, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make memorial gifts to the Broadcasters' Foundation Endowment Fund, 7 Lincoln Ave., Greenwich, Conn.
