Joost, created by the founders of eBay’s Skype Internet phone service and file-sharing service Kazaa, also offers a channel from the National Hockey League. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Yvette Alberdingk Thijm, Joost executive vice president of content strategy and acquisition, said by making games, highlights and shows available on Joost, the NBA is ensuring that its fans can enjoy the action where they want, when they want, while simultaneously interacting with other fans from around the world.
