Telestream FlipFactory enables seamless file transfer between broadcast servers, edit systems and other digital devices located at TV facilities.
Telestream, a provider of automated media encoding and delivery products, has announced an OEM software licensing agreement with Harris Corporation for its broadcast automation products.
Under terms of the agreement, Harris will license and integrate Telestream’s FlipFactory transcoding automation technology into its new Harris Resource Suite for broadcasters. The suite extends Harris’ master control automation line to include the entire ingest-to-broadcast workflow.
Telestream’s technology enables the redistribution of media and metadata between a multitude of source and destination devices. This helps eliminate labor-intensive, manual processes that cost broadcasters time and money.
Known as a “universal format translator,” Telestream FlipFactory enables seamless file transfer between leading broadcast servers, edit systems and other digital devices located at TV facilities.
The Harris Resource Suite with Telestream FlipFactory functionality will be available in October 2003.
