FOR-A extends VPS switcher line
FOR-A has expanded the input/output options for its VPS series of digital switchers to include the new VPS-715 GINGA 1.5 M/E switcher, to satisfy a variety of production applications.
The new VPS-715 is a 1.5 M/E version of the company’s VPS-700, with a large control panel, a frame synchronizer for every input, six keyers and six channels of 3-D DVE. The switcher can also include the company’s VPS-70FR Flash Recorder Option, which provides 120 seconds of uncompressed video recording and two channels (key/fill) with simultaneous playback for video insert, CG wipe or slow motion playback. The switcher’s fader link function allows for manual playback control as well. The VPS-715 is also equipped with redundant power supplies as standard.
The VPS-70HDI is a four-input HD-SDI expansion card that extends the options available for users of the VPS-715. It incorporates a frame synchronizer, still store, process amplifier functions and a downconverter. Up to two cards can be installed per switcher, with a maximum expansion of eight inputs.
Also available is the VPS-70HDO, a four-output HD-SDI expansion card that enables upconverted HD or SD-SDI outputs. It also allows the user to easily assign outputs. One card can be installed per switcher.
The VPS-70HDI four-input HD-SDI and the VPS-70HDO four-output HD-SDI expansion cards will be available in August.
