FCC Shoots for Three-Week Notification Window
By TVTechnology published
FCC Chairman Kevin Martin announced that open meeting agendas topics will be posted on the commission’s Web site three weeks before the scheduled meeting.
The previous notification period was one week, although during Martin’s tenure, agenda items frequently have been dropped at the last minute. Additionally, his fellow commissioners have brickbatted him a time or two for tossing in a last-minute report or action item.
No TV items currently appear on the May 14 meeting agenda, which includes a second rulemaking on the swath of 700 MHz open-access spectrum and another on narrowbanding.
