Dielectric introduces 60000 series coaxial switches

All switches are equipped with a visual position indicator and manual override. Bolt (EIA) type flanges are standard.

Dielectric has introduced new Coaxial series switches. The switches are available in standard coaxial sizes 7/8” through 4-1/16” in 50 ohms, and 6-1/8” and 9-3/16” in 50 or 75 ohm versions. The 60000 Series Switch is a motorized coaxial RF switch that allows stations to change RF paths.

Transmitters can be automatically routed to station loads, standby antennas or other alternate RF paths.

The 60000 series switches are based on the 50000 series switches. Both are rotary types, having an aluminum RF cavity common to all ports. The rotor assembly contains two inner conductor blades and a common isolating ground plane which oscillates 90 degrees. RF connections are silver plated multi-contact for high current capacity and long life.

All switches are equipped with a visual position indicator and manual override. Bolt (EIA) type flanges are standard. Transitions to “no flange” or other line sizes are readily available.

The new 60000 Series coaxial features:

  • Segregated power and control input connectors
  • Local and remote mode selection can be set at the switch
  • Will operate with 12 or 24 VDC or 115 VAC commands with no modification or field changes in the wiring
  • Can be operated locally with no customer input wiring
  • Control can be preset for momentary or maintained command signal
  • Manual drive and dual position indicators are standard
  • A local control pendant is available for single switch installations
  • The pendant (NEMA 4) can be mounted directly to the switch or any nearby structure
  • The drive unit is field replaceable
  • RF section parts are identical to 50000 Series switches
