Decisionmark Launches CheckHD In DC

Washington, DC--Decisionmark has recently launched its DTV education resource, CheckHD.com, in Washington, DC. CheckHD can tell a consumer which digital TV channels they can expect to receive at their exact location, as well as what programs are being broadcast in high definition. Consumers can search for their favorite shows to find out if they can get them in high definition or not, via an antenna, or even cable or satellite.
CheckHD.com also offers a daily HDTV program update email, giving consumers a rundown of shows available to them in HD. Beyond these features, it also provides baseline information about digital TV (such as terms and definitions) and a Buyer's Guide that can be customized with the channel info as well as with digital TV product information and retail locations.
Decisionmark launched the site in conjunction with the FCC's announcement about consumer DTV education on October 4. CheckHD.com has the support of the Consumer Electronics Association and the National Association of Broadcasters, as well as the major networks and hundreds of local TV broadcasters.
