Comcast subscribers in New Jersey access NBC News on demand
By TVTechnology published
Continuing to expand its video-on-demand (VOD) service, Comcast Cable Communications is offering NBC News on demand to more than 725,000 subscribers in central and northern New Jersey.
If successful with consumers, NBC could see a windfall that many predict would cause other networks to follow suit and make their content available, either through a cable MSO like Comcast or they might decide to start their own business.
Included on VOD service at no charge are Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, Dateline NBC, Meet the Press and local New York City news on WNBC-TV.
