Belgium’s VRT network switches to Grass Valley for all production platforms
By TVTechnology published
VRT, the national broadcaster in Belgium that caters to the Flemish-speaking community, plans to upgrade all of its SD production switchers to the Grass Valley Kayak.
The first deliveries are scheduled for this month. Over the life of the contract, by 2013, VRT will have replaced all 20 of its production and post-production switchers with the Kayak HD system.
As well being the home for national broadcasters and independent production facilities, Belgium is a leading center for outside broadcast (OB) production, with approximately 30 trucks based in the country. All of these trucks use Grass Valley switchers.
